Saints set for Bala

The New Saints will travel to Bala Town on Saturday, as they look to get back to winning ways.

The Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League champions started the season off in terrific style by thrashing Port Talbot Town, by six goals to nil. However, The Saints have been unable to find the winning formula in the subsequent matches and will be aiming to rediscover the form that ensured a seventh League title last year, when they kick off against the Lakesiders.

Craig Harrison’s men played Bala Town at Park Hall stadium during the hectic pre-season and won 3-1, thanks to goals from Aeron Edwards, Mike Wilde and Chris Marriott.

The match will kick off at 14:30pm and will be played at Bala’s Maes Tegid.

The club is managed by Colin Caton and earlier this season, Bala competed in European competition for the first time in their history. Despite famously winning the first leg against FC Levadia Tallinn 1-0, Bala were knocked out of the UEFA Europa League in the first qualifying round.
