The New Saints held a presentation for the ‘Design a kit’ scheme at Park Hall stadium last week, which was deemed a great success by all.
Five local Schools supported the event, including Whittington Primary School, Gobowen Primary School, Criftins Primary School, Woodside Primary School and Our Lady’s Catholic School.
Craig Edwards, Mike Wilde and Greg Draper presented Holly Faulks and Ellie Jones with season tickets for the 2013/2014 campaign, after their designs were chosen as the winning entries. All of the schools also received official kits that had been signed by everyone at the club. The tops will be kept at the schools after the great contribution as well as the wonderful support that they have all shown.
The whole of The New Saints squad were in attendance and afterwards the players signed autographs for the excited children.
Afterwards, Edwards, who is the Community Foundation Officer at the club, said, ’It was a great day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. I would first of all like to thank all of the Schools for taking part and displaying such great support for their local football club. We as a club had so many wonderful entries and it was really hard picking the winners of the two respective kits. The selection process was very tough due to the sheer quality of all of the entries.’
