The New Saints will welcome Afan Lido tomorrow as Craig Harrison’s team attempt to keep the unbeaten home run going.
Harrison’s team are unbeaten at home since last November and will be hoping for another three points against lowly Lido.
Founded in 1967, Afan Lido are managed by Paul Evans but are the only team in the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League yet to have won a League game this season.
The Saints did the double over Lido last season. Ryan Fraughan, Steve Evans and Greg Draper sealed a three one away victory at Marstons’ Stadium. The Saints won the home fixture two one thanks to another goal from Draper and a Chris Seargeant winner.
Harrison has injury doubts over Ryan Fraughan and Sam Finley but both Scott Ruscoe and Steve Evans will not feature as they are both still recovering from their respective injuries.
The Director of Football is looking forward to the game tomorrow but admitted that Afan Lido can cause a threat and said, ‘Afan Lido have been beaten by the odd goal all season which tells it’s own story. They will come here with nothing to lose and they will see this fixture as a free game. They will turn up with a nothing to lose attitude which makes it difficult for us.’
The former Middlesbrough man added that, ‘Obviously we have to make sure that we are not complacent and that is why we try and make sure that we go into every game with the same enthusiasm and the same determination to ensure that we don’t make any mistakes and drop points.’
The referee for the game will be Mr K.Perry.
The match will kick off at 14:30pm and tickets are available from the link below.
