The New Saint Under 19’s beat Brickfield 4-1 in the Welsh Youth Cup thanks to goals from Ryan Kershaw, Jamie Hands and a brace from Taylor James.
The Saints started brightly and took the lead after only five minutes through James. After some wonderful play down the right hand side from Kershaw and Ben Richards, James broke the deadlock.
Within minutes the impressive James was brought down in the penalty box, before dusting himself down and converting from the spot to make it two nil.
On the half hour mark it was three. Richards expertly found Kershaw who made no mistake but after a mistake from Aaron Simms, the visitors pulled a goal back.
Steve Evans’ Saints were then had Ryan Pryce sent off but remained in control and with five minutes to go, substitute Hands added the final goal of the game after some great work from James.
