The New Saints will take on Newtown tomorrow in the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League at Park Hall stadium.

Craig Harrison’s side will be desperate to get back to winning ways having dropped points against Bala Town and Newtown in their last two games.

However, Harrison will be without the influential duo of Steve Evans and Scott Ruscoe, who are both still out injured.

The former Premier League defender is looking forward to the match and said, ‘It was disappointing to lose on Boxing Day but I definitely don’t think we deserved to lose the game. I think a draw would have been a fair result and although we didn’t win, I can not criticise both the attitude and commitment that my lads showed. They gave everything they had on a pitch that we couldn’t play football on. We have a fantastic home record with a pitch that we can get the ball down and play on. There are a lot of grounds in the Welsh Premier that have really good pitches but Newtown’s pitch made it difficult for us to play our game on. I am a really bad loser and I am desperate to get back to winning ways. Everyone has trained really well this week and we are as focused as ever. We all believe in each other and I am really looking forward to the game.’

Managed by Chris Hughes, Newtown AFC were founded in 1875 and beat The Saints 1-0 on Boxing Day at Latham Park, thanks to a Sean Evans goal.

Nicknamed The Robins, Newtown are currently sat in 4th place in the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League.

The referee for the game will be Mr R.Harrington.

The match will kick off at 14:30pm and tickets are available from the link below.
