The New Saints Ladies were knocked out of the FA Women’s Cup after being beaten by seven goals to nil by Stoke City.
The Potters raced into a two goal lead after only six minutes through close range goals from Jamila Palmer and Megan Bowyers.
Chantelle Gallagher made it three after finding the bottom corner from the edge of the box and midway through the first half, Palmer completed her brace to give her side a four goal advantage.
Moments before half time substitute Jodie Foxhall added a fifth after a defensive mix up to ensure that Stoke went into the half time break leading by five goals to nil.
Shortly after the restart, Natasha Tasgal smashed in a sixth goal for her side and moments later they nearly added a seventh. However, Kate Huntbach produced an excellent last ditch tackle to prevent another goal scoring chance with a superbly timed challenge.
Despite the score, The Saints continued to push forward and Laura Morris forced Alice Langstone into a very good save from a tight angle.
With ten minutes left substitute Megan Haynes forced the Stoke goalkeeper into another save before Morris shot wide from inside the box.
In the last minute of the game Louise Roberts added a seventh goal with a brilliant long range effort.
