Bangor City Preview

The New Saints will take on Bangor City tomorrow in the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League.

The Saints are currently top of the WPL and will be hoping for three more points tomorrow.

The match will take place at Park Hall stadium and The Saints will be hoping to continue their impressive undefeated home run this season.

Both Steve Evans and Scott Ruscoe are still out of action but Craig Harrison will welcome reliable right back Simon Spender, back to the squad and said, ‘Simon Spender is back in contention which is good news and Lee Fowler played 90 minutes for the Under 19’s on Sunday which is also great news. It will be a tough game against Bangor, it always is. I have seen them play twice in the last two weeks against both Airbus and Newtown, so I have done my homework on them ahead of the match. They beat us in the Welsh Cup Semi-Final last year which was a tough game to swallow but fortunately we have won every league game since I have been at the club and we hope to continue that run tomorrow.’

Bangor were founded in 1876 and are managed by Nev Powell.

Nicknamed The Citizens, the club play their games at The Book People Stadium and finished last season in third place.

During the last encounter between the sides, The Saints won by two goals to one, thanks to goals from Matty Williams and Sam Finley.

The match will kick off at 15:15pm.
