After the mass interest in TNS midfielder, Sam Finley, over the course of the season, the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League Champions have sanctioned Sam to join a top half Sky Bet Championship club for a week of training.
The tenacious midfielder has impressed since joining The Saints from Warrington Town in February 2012.
So far this season, the former Everton Academy product has scored nine league goals in 22 appearances for the Oswestry based club.
Sam will spend time at a top half Championship club this week and will take part in a behind closed doors game during the week.
Craig Harrison made the Liverpool-born player one of his first signings at The Saints after he joined from Airbus and said, ‘It is a great opportunity for Sam. There has been no secret that there has been a lot of interest from clubs in England and I hope he takes up the opportunity. He has improved season upon season, none more so than this campaign with his discipline record vastly improving and adding goals to his tenacious style of play. I am looking forward to having him back in contention for Saturday’s FAW Welsh Cup Semi-Final. It is also great to see a young lad like Sam who I brought to the club and gave a chance to, perform on a bigger stage, train full time and he has taken the opportunity with both hands, which is testament to both Sam and our coaching staff at the club.’
The club would like to wish him all the best.
