The TNS Under 19’s beat Gap Connah’s Quay by six goals to one at Park Hall Stadium.
After eight minutes, Taylor James opened the scoring. The prolific forward rounded the Connah’s Quay goalkeeper and calmly rolled the ball in to give Steve Evans’ side a dream start.
A minute later James completed his brace. The striker latched onto the end of a wonderful cross and slotted in from close range.
The third goal of the game was scored by Mark Mutch. The TNS number 11 raced through on goal and showed a lot of composure by curling it into the top corner.
On the half hour mark, Jordan Wells made it four by getting on the end of a Ryan Kershaw free kick and poking home from four yards out.
On the stroke of half time, TNS won a penalty and James easily converted to complete his hat-trick.
The impressive Kershaw made it six on the hour mark. The creative midfielder smashed in an unstoppable free kick into the bottom corner leaving the visiting goalkeeper no chance.
Gap Connah’s Quay pulled a goal back with ten minutes left but the Champions controlled the rest of the match and thoroughly deserved the win.
