The New Saints will take on Airbus UK Broughton tomorrow in the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League at Park Hall Stadium.
The Saints will be hoping to secure a third League title on the bounce tomorrow afternoon.
The Oswestry based side only need to pick up a point in the top of the table clash to guarantee the title.
The title would also ensure that TNS become the most successful club in WPL history. Barry Town and TNS currently have seven titles to their name but The Saints can be crowned Champions for a record eighth time tomorrow afternoon.
However, Scott Ruscoe and Alex Darlington have been ruled out of the game and Steve Evans, despite being back in training will also miss the match. Craig Harrison is hopeful of picking up the trophy at home tomorrow and said, ‘I am confident that we can win any game as long as everyone is up for it and we don’t become complacent. We will be going all out for the win tomorrow afternoon and I hope to equal the club’s record of three League titles in a row. It will also be nice to be confirmed as the best WPL club in history by winning it for an eighth time. The lads have trained well again this week and it is also great to see Steve Evans back in training with the lads.’
Airbus UK were founded in 1946 and are currently managed by former Bury boss, Andy Preece. Nicknamed ‘The Wingmakers’ Preece’s side currently sit in second Place in the Welsh Premier League and play their home games at The Airfield.
The New Saints beat Airbus in the last meeting between the sides. Goals from Mike Wilde and Sam Finley knocked Airbus out of the FAW Welsh Cup and helped Harrison’s side reach the final. The Saints lost 2-1 in the Word Cup and have drawn 1-1 three times in the WPL.
The Referee for the game will be Mr Lee Evans.
The match will kick off at 15:07pm and tickets are available from the link below.
