Wilde extends his stay with TNS

The New Saints’ Mike Wilde has put pen to paper on a new contract with the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League Champions.
 
Wilde, 30, capped off another brilliant season by scoring the winning goal against Aberystwyth Town in the FAW Welsh Cup Final at Wrexham’s Glyndwr University Racecourse Stadium.
 
Having previously joined The Saints in 2002, ‘Wildey’ left the club and signed for Fleetwood.
 
After a season with The Cod Army, the Birkenhead born forward transferred to Chester City.
 
Whilst at The Deva Stadium, Wilde became an icon at the club after scoring an incredible 36 goals during the 2010/2011 season.
 
Wilde, returned to The Saints at the beginning of the 2012/2013 season and won the Welsh Premier League Golden Boot during his first year back at Park Hall Stadium. The prolific striker scored an impressive 25 league goals in only 30 appearances. 
 
In other news, David Spendiff has rejoined the club as the Chartered Physio therapist. Matt Turner will continue as head of Match Analysis and Bernhard Hirmer will carry on his role as first team goalkeeper coach. Craig Harrison has taken on the role of Head Coach at the club after Carl Darlington has taken on his new role as first team coach at The New Saints due to work commitments. Finally, a new Strength and Conditioning coach will be joining the club on the 3rd of June ahead of pre-season.
