Under 7s (4/11/14)
TNS U7s played Johny Hughes Academy at The Venue, 4th November 2014, ko 5.45pm
The team included: Sam Davies, Casey Sillitoe, Rui Clarke Phillips, Ryan Tinsley, Liam Ford, Oliver Stevens Sewell, Bailey Evans, Lewis Bennett, Jayden Draper
TNS 7s entertained Johny Hughes Academy in their second fixture since being formed in the summer. Both teams played some good passing football at times. The game was entertaining with some good goals being scored.
Afterwards, coach Jason Brindley said: “It’s good to see how the lads have improved since we started not long ago. They are looking to pass and move and there was some fluidity to our play at times. The boys really seem to enjoy themselves which was the most pleasing part”
Thanks to Johny Hughes for bringing a great bunch of kids.
Under 8s (8/11/14)
TNS 9-1 Baschurch
The Under 8’s were on top form on this wet and windy Saturday morning in Bashchurch. We played very well and produced some fantastic team goals. Bashchurch were really impressive and took the game to us, they were big and strong and the score didn’t give them the justice they deserved. However, credit to the lads they were really good today, the players who were struggling for game time at the season are now on top form and selecting a team for each match with so much competition is becoming harder and harder.
From Josh in goal to Will upfront the team were fantastic. We’re in great form and are really buying into our playing style, meaning they’re working hard in training and putting it into practice.

TNS 2 Rhyl 2
The squad included: David Williams, Spencer Parrish, Regan Jones, Mathew Marshall, Louie Millington, Liam Rawlings, Luke Wicks, Jack Brindley, Morgan Daykin, Ben Buley, Alfie Martin, Kyle McLeod
Goal scorers: Ben Buley, Jack Brindley
The match was very evenly contested. Both sides midfield and defenses were well organised. TNS began to edge the midfield contest with Kyle Williams threading the ball through on a number of occasions only to see the ball reach the Rhyl goalkeeper before the advancing Jack Williams and Alfie could reach the ball. TNS had a lucky breakthrough when the Rhyl goalkeeper misjudged the ball and it rolled into the Rhyl goal.
After the break Rhyl started keenly and scored an early second half goal to make it 1-1. They were spurred on by this and scored a second to go 2-1 up after 20 minutes of the second half. TNS responded well and after very good work from Ben Buley, he rounded 2 defenders to finish well from the edge of the area to make it 2-2. The match finished at 2-2 which was a fair result for both teams.

TNS 4 Rhyl 1
Goal scorers : Alix Godfrey, Andy Vale, James Arrowsmith
Team : Matt Williams, James Arrowsmith, Daniel Cox, Ben Dawson, Alix Godfrey, Andrew Vale, Jamie Monk, Taps Kamutasa, Dennis Bates, Aaron Jones, Sean Phelan
Subs : Rob Reynolds, Matt Wallace, Ayman Sekkouti, Cam Evans, Lewis Burns, Joe Kinsella, Steve Naisby
We were looking to a reaction following on from the disappointing Newtown performance. The boys started off really well with some free-flowing football resulting in 4 well-worked goals scored, especially after some fantastic wing play by Ben Dawson. Unfortunately the boys were sloppy in the final third and failed to convert numerous chances to extend the score line, with the game finishing 4-1.
Coach Steve Benyon said “Nice to be back to winning ways, but still demand more from my players in terms of creativity and tempo within the final third as we have a number of tough upcoming games, in our quest to consolidate our place within the top 4”.
