The New Saints of Oswestry Town will take on Bala Town in theWord Cup Final on Sunday.
The Final will take place at Paveways Latham Park, Newtown and will kick off at 12:45pm.
The Saints have been on a great run in recent months and are still unbeaten in the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League.
Tickets for the game will cost £5 for Adults, £3 for Concessions and only £1 for Children under 14.
Craig Harrison’s side knocked out Port Talbot Town in the Semi-Final of theWord Cup to reach the final. The fixture against The Steelmen was an entertaining one and despite going behind in extra time, The Saints fought back and advanced into the final thanks to brilliant goal from Scott Quigley.
Nicknamed The Lakesiders, Bala were founded in 1880 and beat Prestatyn Town in the Semi-Final.
Chris Coleman has been present at the final for the past two seasons where he has witnessed both the Lakesiders and the Saints lose on penalties against Carmarthen Town, ‘I’m really looking forward to this one as both clubs are flying high in our National League. The New Saints are still going for the treble of course but Bala are a good side, technically and physically and I’m sure that Huw Griffiths and Colin Caton will make sure that their lads are really up for this one.’
Opponents Bala Town lost out 3-1 on penalties in last year’s final at Aberystwyth while The New Saints also missed out on penalties two seasons ago at Paveways Latham Park, Coleman added, ‘TNS will want to lay that ghost of course and the fact that this final is again at Newtown gives them that opportunity to do so. The new 3G facility ensures that the playing surface will be good so let’s hope that we witness a high quality and exciting final. I understand that tickets are only £5 and a quid for children so it’s a great opportunity to support the teams and Welsh domestic football of course.’
Coleman’s predicted a win for TNS and commented, ’The New Saints are the favourites of course and they are technically the best team in the competition but Bala have every chance and as the past two Word Cup Finals have shown – anything can happen.’
The match will be broadcast live on S4C.
