48 players from the Under 12′s, Under 13′s, Under 14′s, Under 15′s and Under 16′s travelled to Burton Upon Trent to visit England’s national training complex.
The site is 330 acres in size and has 12 full size outdoor pitches and a full size indoor pitch, as well as a hotel, various gyms, and rehabilitation suites.
The boys were split into 3 groups of 16 and enjoyed a tour of the complex, including the dressing room which the national team use, and the main training pitch which is a direct replica of the size and playing surface of Wembley Stadium.
Following the tour the boys enjoyed a training session on one of the outdoor artificial pitches. This was led by 3 of the national centre’s highly qualified coaches.
Despite the cold wet conditions, the boys enjoyed an excellent day.
