Champions, The New Saints lost in the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League for the first time this season after Glenn Rule’s second half strike separated the two sides.
The Airbus midfielder struck in the 47th minute and despite TNS pushing forward, the Wingmakers held on to earn all three points.
Airbus began well and in the first ten minutes Ryan Wade shot inches wide after skipping past Connell Rawlinson.
The two sides shared possession but were both unable to create anything clear cut in what was an even affair.
Midway through the first half, Scott Quigley broke forward but couldn’t pick out Adrian Cieslewicz who was left unmarked at the back post.
As the sides approached half time, Matty Williams broke forward but was unable to latch onto the long ball and the home side managed to clear the danger.
The second half began with Airbus attacking and in the 47th minute, Andy Preece’s side broke the deadlock. The ball fell for Glenn Rule who smashed in his half volley past Harrison to give the home side the lead.
Moments later, Quigley went close but fired his shot just wide of the post with Coates beaten.
On the hour mark, Tom Field went close but his shot whistled just wide of the post as the home side continued to push forward.
Craig Harrison sent on Greg Draper, Jamie Mullan and Chris Seargeant in search of the equaliser and with only five minutes remaining nearly equalised. Kai Edwards found himself in space inside the box but shot straight at Coates with the goal at his mercy.
Deep into stoppage time, Mullan managed to get the ball in the box but his powerful shot flew just over the bar from a tight angle.
The shot proved to be the last bit of action as Airbus held on to claim all three points.
