Increase in WPL attendances.

The 2014/15 Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League season was a memorable season for everybody associated with The New Saints after an utterly brilliant campaign ensured that all three trophies on offer, ended up at Park Hall.

Craig Harrison’s Saints picked up theWord Cup in January before winning the League (having only lost one game) in April and then going on to successfully defend their FAW Welsh Cup.

The WPL season also benefited from a slight increase in the attendances.

The Corbett Sports WPL has experienced a marginal increase on last season’s attendances, which highlights the continual improvements over the last five years; with it being the second highest average in the WPL history (2010/11 season is the highest). In fact, since 2010 it has produced four of the best all time average attendance figures for the top competition in Wales.

The latest UEFA Benchmarking study reports that the top division attendances average, is up in 22 Leagues, but down in 28 Leagues.

Throughout the campaign it was analysed that Friday evenings were the best attended matches where 52 matches were played.

The New Saints will begin their defence of the 2015/16 WPL title on Saturday the 22nd of August 2015.
