S4C will broadcast The New Saints’ Champions League qualifier against Hungarian Champions Videoton live on Tuesday, 14 July. S4C’s Sgorio will be at Park Hall, Oswestry for the second round first leg qualifier, with coverage starting at 6.45pm, kick off 7.00pm.
The coverage will be provided with English commentary on the red button service and will also offer English subtitles. The Welsh Premier League champions made it to the second round after beating Faroe Islands’ champions, B36 Torshavn 6-2 on aggregate over two legs.

The New Saints’ performance in this tournament thus far shows the development of the Welsh Premier League. The coverage reflects our commitment at S4C to showing Welsh football, including highlights of Wales’ Euro 16 qualifiers and live weekly coverage of the Dafabet Welsh Premier League.”
The New Saints Chief Operating Officer Ian Williams was equally pleased with the announcement and added “Domestic football in Wales has received a real boost over the past couple of weeks with some outstanding performances from all four clubs that have competed in UEFA club competitions.
