Harrison Proud of Players

After Adam Gyurcso’s extra-time goal knocked The New Saints out of the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round last night, TNS manager Craig Harrison praised his players and was proud of the display.

The former Premier League defender commented, ‘The players were outstanding and to win the game in 90 minutes was really special. We worked out where their weaknesses would be and where our strengths would be and the lads were absolutely outstanding, every single one. I think we have been very, very unlucky. I am so proud of them.’

Matty Williams’s 78th-minute goal had shocked Hungarian champions Videoton and taken the game into extra time.

But Gyurcso scored with 13 minutes left and gave the home team a 2-1 aggregate win.
