The New Saints FC recently held Soccerfest 2015 in conjunction with Morgans of Oswestry and are delighted to announce that £2500 was raised.
The money was handed over to Prostate Cancer UK on Friday night during The Saints’ Dafabet Welsh Premier League match against MBi Llandudno.
Graeme Kirkham was delighted with the amount of money raised and said, ‘Soccerfest 2014 and 2015 have both been a great success and I would like to thank everyone in the local community for their ongoing support with this fantastic annual event. The New Saints Foundation, The Venue at Park Hall and Morgan’s of Oswestry have some great ideas ready for the 2016 event. I’m looking forward to raising even more awareness for Prostate Cancer UK next summer.’
Chris Carter, Community Engagement Manager at Prostate Cancer UK added, ‘£2,500 is a great amount, and is a really substantial sum of money. There are some ideas, and I have some ideas of my own which we can all pull together for next year.’
Finally, Roger Fallon on behalf of Prostate Cancer UK added , ‘I would like to say thank you for raising £2,500From some of the discussions during the evening it was quite obvious that some new ideas have already been floated, including ongoing events throughout the year culminating in the Soccerfest which is exciting for next year.’
