Park Hall to Host Wales Under 19's

The New Saints’ Park Hall Stadium will host three UEFA Women’s U19 Championship Qualifying Round fixtures next week and admission to all five games will be free.

Group 3 of the UEFA Women’s U19 Championship Qualifying Round will be hosted in Wales between 15 and 20 September at The New Saints FC and Airbus UK Broughton FC.

Wales is hosting Group 3 of the UEFA Women’s U19 Championship Qualifying Round, which will also include Azerbaijan, Belgium and Croatia with matches being played at The New Saints FC and Airbus UK Broughton FC.

The UEFA European Women’s Under-19 Championship consists of three distinct stages – two qualifying rounds and the finals.

Former TNS Ladies Goalkeeper, Charlotte Edmunds is involved in the squad and will likely feature for the Welsh side.

Qualifying round
The qualifying round, played in September, is made up of 11 groups of four teams playing in one-venue mini-tournaments. The group winners and runners-up progress to join the two seeds: England and Spain.

Elite round
In the elite round, played in April, those 24 teams go into six mini-tournament groups of four. The group winners and the runners-up with the best record against the sides first and third in their pool join the hosts at the finals.

Final tournament
At the final tournament the contenders are split into two groups of four, the top two progressing to the semi-finals, with the showpiece to follow. The final tournament is being hosted in Slovakia between 19 and 31 July 2016.
