Goals from Aeron Edwards, Chris Marriott, Mike Wilde gave TNS a three goal lead before former TNS man Chris Jones scored a late consolation.
Twenty minutes in and the first chance of the game fell to Kaid Mohamed but the Port Talbot Town forward scuffed his half volley wide after finding himself free on the edge of the TNS box.
Five minutes later and TNS took the lead thanks to Edwards’ expertly timed header that beat Steven Cann and nestled into the top left hand corner.
With the visitors not sitting back, Matthew Long then had a chance but shot wide from just inside the box after TNS had failed to defend a corner.
Moments before the end of the first half, Edwards was again in the thick of the action and his excellent volley struck the post with Cann helpless.
The second half began with TNS winning a free kick on the edge of the box. Marriot stepped up and magnificently found the top corner to double The Saints’ advantage. The left back curled the ball past the wall and beat Cann to give TNS the perfect start to the second half.
Two minutes later and it got even better for The Saints. Good wide play from Scott Quigley ended up with the powerful youngster picking out Wilde who headed into the empty net to give The Saints a three goal lead.
Former TNS man Chris Jones then pulled a goal back directly from a corner to give the visitors hope.
TNS then nearly added a fourth but Quigley’s low drive struck the post and bounced out.
With ten minutes to play, John Hood’s header was brilliant saved by Paul Harrison and that ensured that TNS returned to winning ways.
