The New Saints drew 1-1 with Airbus UK in the Dafabet Welsh Premier League at the Hollingsworth Group Stadium.
A first half goal from Mike Wilde was cancelled out by Tony Gray in the second half to ensure the match finished 1-1.
The home side began well with a succession of corners but the first clear cut chance fell to TNS. A great cross from Kai Edwards picked out Mike Wilde who shot inches wide after stretching for the ball.
However, despite Mike Pearson missing a glorious chance, Wilde gave his side the lead soon after. With 23 minutes played, the TNS number 18 coolly slotted in to give Craig Harrison’s side the advantage.
The Saints started to get control of the game and with only ten minutes remaining in the first half, Kai Edwards’ half volley flew wide from a tight angle.
Airbus then broke forward but Tom Field’s powerful drive flew just over the bar as the first half ended with TNS leading by one goal to nil.
The second half began and within seconds, Field clipped the bar with Paul Harrison beaten.
With half an hour to play, Scott Quigley set up Kai Edwards but the former Neath man was only able to poke it straight at James Coates.
Former TNS winger, Ryan Fraughan was sent on but within seconds, Scott Quigley nearly doubled the lead. The powerful winger was tackled as he was about to shoot with TNS in control of the game.
With ten minutes to play, Tony Gray headed in from close range to level the match but despite TNS pushing forward in search of the winning goal, it never came and the matched finished one all.
