Rev's Ramblings

This week we recorded – and released – the second episode of the TNS Radio Football Show. Following on from Ian Williams’ appearance on the debut programme the week before, this time round it was Kai Edwards in the hot seat.

I was an admirer of Kai well before I got involved with TNS. I still play football weekly, and being a centre half, what you tend to do when you watch a game is notice those in the same position. Even before I visited Park Hall, I was a fan, courtesy of Sgorio.

Therefore, along with everyone else of course, it’s been great to get to know Kai. Whether for TNS Radio or TNS TV, it’s always a privilege to interview the players and coaching staff.

I chatted football with Mr Versatile (already this season he’s played at the heart of the defence, midfield and right back) but we also moved away from the game. In particular Kai talked about his son, Elijah Rome, who was born recently.

From everyone at The New Saints, congratulations and all the best to Kai, Kylie and baby. If you want to know about the choice of names, I asked that in the programme, so make sure you check it out on the club website.

Via an interview for TNS TV, it was good to welcome new signing, Danny Gosset, to Park Hall this week. He is a positive addition to the squad, and although he didn’t make his debut at Airbus, look out for another video chat when he does eventually get on the pitch.

Talking of Airbus, if you watched the game on Sgorio you probably saw yours truly being interviewed at half-time by Nicky John. It was a pleasant surprise during the week when Nicky contacted me to see if I would go on the programme.

As always, it’s both a great privilege and truly humbling at the same time to do stuff like this. Plus, Sgorio is my favourite football show anyway, so that’s a double blessing.

We’re back on TV again this Saturday (22nd) at Bala and with a midweek game at home to Carmarthen (26th) it’s a busy week football-wise. It’s a hard life life, but someone had to live it. See you next Monday. The Rev.
