The New Saints beat Carmarthen Town 2-0 in the Dafabet Welsh Premier League at Park Hall Stadium thanks to goals from Chris Seargeant and Greg Draper and Craig Harrison was pleased to get back to winning ways.
A penalty at the start of the second half from Seargeant and a brilliant goal from Draper gave TNS the three points and ensured that the Dafabet Welsh Premier League Champions remained unbeaten this season.
The Saints moved to the top of the table after victory last night and Craig Harrison was pleased with his team and in particular the way his side reacted to the draw at Airbus, ‘I was very happy with the way we reacted to drawing on Saturday. We moved the ball well throughout and were patient, which in the end paid off for us. It is always hard to break teams down that come here and sit back but we stuck at it and I am happy with the way the lads bounced back after a draw at that weekend.’
The former Crystal Palace defender added, ‘I am delighted to have kept a clean sheet. All of the teams that do well are built from the back and rely on a strong defence. We can now build on the clean sheet and will look to add more goals.’
