The New Saints of Oswestry Town made it five wins in a row in the Dafabet Welsh Premier League after a dominant 4-0 win against Aberystwyth Town at Park Avenue.
Goals from Alex Darlington, Adrian Cieslewicz and a superb brace from Scott Quigley sealed the win for Craig Harrison’s Saints.
TNS controlled the majority of the first half and tested Mike Lewis with a number of long range shots.
Geoff Kellaway looked dangerous on the break but was unable to find space after both Phil Baker and Kai Edwards defended well.
However, with 38 minutes gone, Quigley broke down the left and cut inside, before unleashing an unstoppable shot that flew into the top corner from the edge of the box.
The Saints doubled the advantage in the 48th minute thanks to Darlington. The TNS number 20 found space on the edge of the box and his low drive bounced off the post before nestling in the back of the net.
Darlington then nearly made it three nil. A superb move down the left ended up with Quigley releasing Darlington but the forward had his low shot saved by Lewis.
However, a minute later and it was three. Cieslewicz sprinted clear down the left wing and slotted in from eight yards out to all but secure the points for the reigning champions.
Quigley did secure the points five minutes later when he kept his cool and rolled the ball past Lewis to complete his brace.
In stoppage time, Quigley was shown a red card after an altercation with Luke Sherbon.
