Darlo Delighted with Goal

The New Saints’ Alex Darlington has admitted to being frustrated at being out of the side in recent weeks but was delighted to be back in the team and grab himself a goal during the 4-0 victory over Aberystwyth Town on Friday night.

The former Wrexham man was pleased to have scored his third league goal of the campaign and said, ‘It has been a frustrating time out of the team after starting the season in the side but I was happy to play on Friday and delighted to get on the score sheet.’

The TNS number 20 was also full of praise for the TNS defenders after a third league clean sheet in a row and added, ‘Aza and Sarge were excellent in front of the back four against Aber and we talked about that in the dressing room after the game. The defence have been brilliant so far this season.’

The Saints will take on Haverfordwest County on Saturday in the Dafabet Welsh Premier League, as Craig Harrison’s Saints seek an eighth win in a row in all competitions.

TNS Radio will be live from 14:15pm with uninterrupted commentary of the game.
