The New Saints of Owestry Town’s 5-0 thrashing of Airbus UK last weekend moved The Saints one step closer to winning a fifth Dafabet Welsh Premier League title in a row but TNS Captain, Paul Harrison is keen to take one game at a time.
Speaking after the Airbus victory, Harrison said, ‘It’s looking good for us at the moment but we are taking each game as it comes. We dominated at the right times against Airbus and we were able to kill off the game quite early.’
With just seven games of the 2015/2016 campaign left to play, The Saints sit nine points ahead of Bala Town who are in second and have to play the Lakesiders both home and away.
Having already lifted the Word Cup, TNS remain on course for another treble-winning campaign but Harrison is keen to ensure that the team remain focused and said, ‘We’ve got Newtown in the Welsh Cup at Park Hall on Saturday and then Llandudno in the league the following week at home which is all we are concentrating on at the moment.’
