Flying High With TNS Radio – Rev’s Ramblings

As with last week’s column, this one was written high in the sky, this time the return flight from Portugal. What a great few days it was, culminating of course, in the match itself.

There was a lot of negativity spoken and written externally about The New Saints, following the first leg. However, being around the team I can tell you that there was nothing but the opposite in the camp in the build-up.

From Scott Ruscoe through to individual players, the mood was very positive indeed. In fact, while at the stadium an hour before kick-off, I was live on BBC Radio Shropshire and that was the thrust of my contribution. As we now know, the confidence was confirmed in the result.

Talking of positivity, the feedback on TNS Radio during the game was amazing. With Twitter and text message options available, we had a continual stream of people getting in touch.

My partner in crime this time on air was Steve Garnett, who had made his debut with us at the Brickfield Rangers game. Steve covered the tweeting and match report as his specific duties. He did a great job.

We really appreciate everyone who listens to TNS Radio during the course of the season and when people get in touch that’s especially encouraging. We read out every message during the game in Portugal but I also want to acknowledge everyone on here as well.

By the time this is published then we’ll be in Croatia for the second round. It’s going to be a tough game, of course, but whatever happens we’ll be bringing you all the action again on TNS Radio.

There will be a link on the club website ahead of kick-off, all you need to do is click and listen. In addition, why not send us a tweet on the TNS account (@tnsfc) using the hashtag #TNSRadio.

Plus you can text us on 07815 432 371, which is my mobile number. We look forward to your company.

Rev’s Ramblings is a personal blog insight following my adventures with the Welsh champions.
