At The Venue following last night’s game against Cefn Druids, Oswestry resident, Pauline, suffered an asthma attack. Fortunately, the club doctor, Brian Johnson, was on hand to make sure everything was ok and an ambulance was called as a precaution.
Simon Spender is her favourite player and he was in the vicinity, having finished his post-match TNS TV interview. Going over to see her was certainly a pick-me-up and that brought a massive smile to her face.
Earlier today, the matchday stewards involved – Sez Roberts and Alan Walker – went to see Pauline at her home in the town, on behalf of the club.
She was thrilled to see them and Sez reported that, “she’s feeling a lot better and very grateful we reacted as quickly as we did.”
We are going to invite her to an upcoming game, where she can meet Simon Spender in better circumstances.
So it definitely will be a case of a happy ending for Pauline.
