The draw for the Irn-Bru Cup was made at lunchtime today and for the third consecutive time this season, The New Saints of Oswestry Town were given a home tie.
After victories against Livingston and Elgin City, this time it’s the turn of the Doonhamers – otherwise known as Queen of the South – to visit Park Hall.
Managed by Gary Naysmith, they were on the road in the last round as well, coming away from Montrose with a 3-1 victory after extra time.
Currently in fifth place in a ten-team Scottish Championship, Queen of the South have eleven points from eight games. They are seven points behind leaders, St Mirren, who TNS played in last season’s Irn-Bru Cup semi-final.
The game will be played on Sunday, November 12 2017. The kick-off is 2.45 pm and it will also be shown live on S4C.

Following the draw we caught up with TNS manager, Scott Ruscoe, for his initial thoughts: “There were Championship sides in the draw so it was going to be a test whoever we would get. It’s good to be at home as well, that is the most pleasing thing for us.”
