Captains’ Day At Cumbernauld As We Visit The Irn-Bru Factory

Yesterday (February 13, 2018), we were in Scotland for promotional work at the Irn-Bru factory, ahead of the semi-final games this weekend. It was an invitation to the captains this time round, and so joining Paul Harrison were Dumbarton’s Andy Dowie and Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s Gary Warren. Unfortunately, Northern Ireland’s representatives, Crusaders, were unable to join us.

Last year, as semi-finalists, we were involved in a tour of the Irn-Bru factory. This time, while still at the plant, the filming was done outside in the yard as the delivery vehicles themselves became the focal point of the morning.

There was an embargo on publicity until today but now we can release our own photographs, which were real behind the scenes insights into what was going on. You can view the full album here on our Facebook page.

In addition, a couple of the press release cuttings from north of the English border are below.

The game between The New Saints of Oswestry Town and Dumbarton takes place on Saturday, February 17 2018, and you can read more here.

Finally, on the way back home well-known comedian, Kevin Bridges, was in the seat behind us so we took advantage of that by getting a photograph.
