Llongyfarchiadau!

In a word, congratulations / Llongyfarchiadau, to the FAW Academy U-18s who earlier today beat their Republic of Ireland counterparts 2-0. Following on from the 0-0 between the sides a few days ago, it means that the John Coughlan Memorial Cup will be travelling back with the squad.

Following the game, full international Evans expressed his pride in the Park Hall representation. “Our lads were excellent. I’m proud of  the squad” he began, before giving us a brief rundown on each individual.

Chris Craven: “Led by example and was excellent in both games”

Lewis Dutton: “Was assured in goal and kept a clean sheet”

Callum Jones: “Recovered from illness which kept him out of the first game, to provide a pivotal moment when he crossed the ball to set up the first goal”

James Parry: Featured in both games and was excellent. Led by example”

Tom Williams: “Worked hard and was a constant threat to the Irish defence”
