A Great Day Had By One And All As Park Hall Hosts U-8s Football Festival

On Sunday, March 11th, Park Hall Stadium hosted an U-8’s Football Festival. Organised by TNS Academy, there were fourteen teams registered, with almost 150 youngsters involved on the day.

The sides entered included those at Academy and Centre Of Excellency level as well as grassroots sides, from the Wrexham area, the Midlands, Shropshire and mid-Wales.

There were lots of games for everyone to get involved with, as two leagues of seven saw each side then play each other once within their respective group.

“We really enjoyed hosting our U-8’s Football Festival. The standard was terrific and it was great to see so many talented players enjoying the beautiful game.

We wanted to make every player feel very special and our Festival started with everyone entering the pitch, via our 1st team tunnel, to the UEFA Champions League anthem.

At this stage in their development it’s important we help create positive memories for our players to help fuel a lifelong love of the game.

I would like to thank all the fantastic players, passionate coaches and supportive parents for making our Festival so successful.”
