TNS Ladies’ Player Of The Quarter – Stacey Garnham

Usually selected by the staff, based on performances, this time round the squad were also consulted on the Player Of The Quarter award  and the decision was unanimously confirmed. Congratulations, Stacey, on the accolade from both coaches and peers.

We asked Stacey for her thoughts: “Since the turn of the year we’ve had a tough run of games. The weather’s played its part with inconsistency, so I feel privileged to pick up the award under these circumstances.”  she told us, before adding:

“I hope I can continue this form and help the team in what will be a difficult and challenging end to the season.”

Manager, Andy Williams, was full of praise for his goalkeeper:

”Stacey has performed consistently well all year, playing a key role in the team’s successes as the last line of defence.

She has performed outstandingly since the turn of the year being awarded several player of the match awards.

I am so pleased for her because the benefit of her hard work in training and how it is rubbing off in her match play is very much evident.”

The lead photograph, with Stacey and Andy, was taken after TNS Ladies emphatic victory earlier this week against Ellesmere Ladies.

The New Saints Ladies are in action this Sunday (March 18) at Park Hall against Sheffield United Ladies. Kick-off is 2.00 p.m. and admission is free.
