Behind-Closed-Doors Friendly At Park Hall

This afternoon at Park Hall, The New Saints of Oswestry Town hosted a side from a Manchester-based football organisation in a behind-closed-doors friendly.

Giving Scott Ruscoe and Steve Evans the chance to take a closer look at a number of trialists, the game also provided an opportunity for Park Hall squad players to impress, as well as get vital minutes of competitive football. In particular it was good to see Wes Fletcher feature in the first half.

With a number of the TNS U-19s squad also involved, it was a platform for them to catch the eye of the management duo. The likes of  CJ Craven and Harry Bower have shown in recent games that the pathway into the first team is a very real one indeed.

With the current season drawing to a close, the management duo of Ruscoe and Evans are already building for the upcoming campaign. We chatted with Scott following the game and you can listen to that in the embedded video below.

FAW rules mean that we are unable to declare results in behind-closed-doors friendlies.
