Although The New Saints of Oswestry Town has played two games so far in preparation for the new season, both were closed to the general public. The first was at Manchester City’s Etihad Campus against a Jamie Vardy V9 Academy side, with the second an in-house friendly in Portugal last week.
As far as TNS fans are concerned though it’s third-time lucky, as they say, because this Wednesday (June 20, 2018) Park Hall is the venue for a friendly, as fellow European qualifiers, Cefn Druids, make the short visit down the A5.
A surprise package for many last season, The Ancients join The New Saints (UEFA Champions League), Bala Town and Connah’s Quay Nomads (both UEFA Europa League) in representing Wales in Europe. The Druids will be the third Welsh team in the Europa League.
The game promises to be a good work-out for both sides and for TNS fans it provides the opportunity to witness new signings Josh Hmami, Kane Lewis, Joash Nembhard, Danny Redmond and Connor Roberts in action for the first time.
Kick-off is 7.30 p.m. and you can pay on the turnstile. The admission charges are £5 for adults, £2 concessions (OAPs) with children (U16s) free.
TNS Radio will be making its debut for the season, with the link to the game here: TNS Radio or via the home page once we go on air, prior to the opening whistle.
There is no matchday programme being produced for the fixture.
