The New Saints Ladies are based in the border town of Oswestry, Shropshire. They currently play in the West Midlands Premier League and in the 2014/2015 season reached the Women’s FA Cup second round where they faced Derby County Ladies. The ladies are currently managed by Joe Thompson, who took over in the summer of 2014. The Saints were formed in 2002 and founded its youth section in 2011. The under 16’s were FA National Futsal champions lifting the trophy in 2013 after winning the Shropshire and West Midlands trophies along the way.
The Saints Ladies are the leading side in women’s football in Shropshire and have won the Women’s Challenge cup on nine occasions. Most memorable in 2013/2014 season where they beat local rivals Allscott Ladies 6-0 at The Greenhouse Meadow, to retain the trophy for the third year in a row.
The New Saints Ladies play their home games at Park Hall Stadium in Oswestry. Park Hall Stadium, is a UEFA category 2 that hosts UEFA competitions and International matches. The playing surface is an artificial Ligaturf pitch which is FIFA 2* approved. Stadium capacity is currently 2034 with 1034 covered seats at the stadium. The ground is floodlit with 500 Lux lights allowing for evening games and training to take place at the stadium.
