Jeslie Signs For Crewe Alexandra
The New Saints FC is pleased to announce that our Academy U-8 player, Jeslie Nang-bayi, has signed for Crewe Alexandra.
Jeslie – known to us all as Jes – has been on trial at Crewe since impressing in a friendly fixture. Jes has also been trialling at Everton, after again impressing in a game between the two clubs, but has opted to join the fourth-tier side.
Crewe have one of the most prestigious Academies in the UK, producing players such as Robbie Savage and Danny Murphy in recent years.
Jes has been with The New Saints FC Academy for two years. He joined the club after impressing while participating in the Community Session ‘Mini Saints’ at The Venue.
We caught up with Jes as he left Park Hall Stadium:
I will really miss TNS. The club is very good if you like football because the coaches are great and they teach the players skills.
At TNS we get to travel to play against so many other teams. My team mates were great and we had great fun together.
Lead Foundation Phase Coach Jason Brindley said:
We would like to congratulate Jes on signing for Crewe. He has been at the club a number of years, progressing via our Community Sessions through to the Academy, and now to Crewe, showing that the pathway for young players exists and is very real at TNS.
We want players to reach and fulfil their potential. I feel that through our training and fixture programme we give that.
We are creating fantastic players – and people – and giving them the opportunity to showcase their talent to the best clubs from throughout the UK.
I would like to wish Jes all the best for his future.
