Danny Redmond was the first signing of the 2018-2019 season, joining The Saints on a free tansfer from Scottish side Hamilton Academical.
The 27-year-old Liverpudlian began his career in the Everton Academy, before moving to Wigan Athletic in 2009. Two years later, in January 2011, he made his debut for The Latics, coming on as a substitute in the FA Cup win at Hull City.
Before leaving the club in 2014, he played a number of times, including games against AFC Bournemouth and Manchester City. Fans of the game in England may be familiar with the name Steve Redmond – who is Danny’s father – who in his own career featured in 200 plus games for the latter.
