Ten man TNS advanced into the Welsh Cup semi finals, after a one nil win away at Haverfordwest County, thanks to a wonder goal from Matty Williams.
The former Manhcester United and Notts County man, scored the only goal of the game on 52minutes.
The first half was an uneventful affair with neither team looking as though they could break the deadlock. Greg Draper’s blocked shot was the best chance of the half as Craig Harrison’s men went into the break with the score level , at 0-0.
Both teams came out for the second half fired up and the Oswestry based side were reduced to ten men after Sam Finley saw red for a stamp on Sean Pemberton.
Despite the setback, The Saints went in front after Williams picked up the ball on the edge of the box and fired an unstoppable shot into the bottom corner.
The home side rallied and although they pushed forward, they never really troubled the current Welsh Cup holders.
The New Saints will now await the Welsh Cup Semi Final draw as they look to regain the Cup that they won last year.
