Derwen New Saints (DNS) were beaten by Wrexham DSA 5-2.
The newly named DNS wore their brand new kits (pictured) and put in a very courageous performance!
Danny Percy opened the scoring on ten minutes, after he picked up the ball in his own half and then dribbled past three players, before firing in an unstoppable shot.
Soon after, the visitors equalised after some good work down the right and moments before the half time whistle blew, Wrexham DSA took the lead thanks to another well worked move.
DNS started strongly in the second half and the brilliant Percy was unlucky to see his long range shot fly just over the bar.
Despite the pressure, the visitors extended their lead with a good finish from close range, to make the score 3-1.
DNS would not give up and the Man of the Match scored his second goal of the game! The 19 year old Percy, calmly controlled the ball on the edge of the box and placed the ball into the bottom corner to give his side a chance.
However, the side from Wrexham extended their lead with two fine goals to make the score 5-2 and despite the result, DNS can be really proud of their performance.
