The New Saints beat Airbus UK 4-2, thanks to a brace from Mike Wilde, a deflected free kick from Ryan Fraughan and a wonderful strike from Chris Marriott.
The Saints started really well and after only eight minutes Fraughan’s free kick took a huge deflection and beat Jamie Stephens, to give the home side a perfect start.
Soon after it was two. Chris Jones skipped through the Airbus defence before setting up Wilde with an easy tap in.
The former Chester striker added another soon after when he rose highest to head in from close range and give Craig Harrison and his team a comfortable three nil lead at the break.
The visitors came out fighting in the second half and on 49minutes, Ian Kearney headed in to give his side a chance.
However, despite The Wingmakers pushing forward, the next goal was scored by The Saints. Marriott bombed forward and unleashed a powerful drive into the bottom corner to all but seal the points for the Oswestry based club.
With the game looking as though it would finish 4-1, substitute Michael Roddy scored a wonderful goal to make it 4-2 and that is how the game finished.
