TNS Under 19’s beat Cefn Druids 4-3 yesterday to secure their place in the final of the North East Wales Cup.
The young Saints took the lead thanks to Naim Arsan and despite the Druids equalising, Jack Welsh put Steve Evans and his side back in front. Taylor James gave his side the lead again after Druids had once again drawn level and after conceding to make the score three a piece, Alan Jones won the game for TNS with his late goal.
The Under 19’s have beaten Brickfield 3-1, C.Quay Tigers 4-0, before beating C.Quay in the Quarter final by two goals to one. After beating Cefn Druids yesterday, TNS have scored an astonishing 13 goals on their way to the final and will now firmly believe that they can get their hands on the trophy.
‘Evo’ and his in-form team will now face a tough task against Flint in the Final with the date of the game yet to be confirmed.
In other good news for the TNS Academy, both the Under 14s and the Under 16s have reached the Regional Division Finals. The Under 16s, who are also managed by the Former Wrexham defender, Evans, will take on Connah’s Quay in the Final on Sunday the 21st of April.
