Jack Vale was awarded the man of the match award

The TNS Under 14’s beat the TNS  Under 13’s 5-0 on Wednesday the 5th of June at Park Hall Stadium.


Academy coach Steve Monk, who recently joined The Saints guided his side to a comfortable victory. The side was made up of Matt Williams, Aron Jones, Zak Dobie, Jamie Monk, Taps Kamatusa, Rob Reynolds, Scott Williams, Alex Rowlands, Ifan Roberts, Osian Morris, Ross Hardy, Ricky Williams, James Lloyd and Sam Postle.


The Under 13’s squad that competed were Lewis Dutton, Zac Davies, Haci Ozlu, Dawson Butcher, Will Twigg, Wilf White, Jack Vale, Ben Williams, Sam Jones, Thomas Williams, Harry Bower, Kian Davies, Jordan Tipping, James Gregory-Cork and Michael Evans. Manager Craig Edwards was delighted with the performance and said, ‘We played them off the park in the first 20 minutes but as the game grew their physical attributes wore us down and resulted in five late goals being conceded.’


The five scorers were Zak Dobie, Rob Reynolds, Ricky Williams, Sam Postle and Ross Hardy.


Steve Monk who recently left Cefn Druids this summer, was delighted after the game and said, ‘It was a great team performance once again by the 14’s. The 13’s made it a very difficult game and had the majority of the of the ball in the first 20 minutes. As the game went on the 14’s took their chances but were made to work very hard for the result. Overall it was a very enjoyable match with some good football played by both teams!’


A day later, the TNS U15’s beat AFC Liverpool by three goals to one at Pak Hall Stadium.


James Arrowsmith scored a brace after he powered past the AFC Liverpool defenders for his first two goals and coolly slotted home past the keeper.


Shortly after he turned provider, by passing to Cam Evans who tapped in the third goal from close range.


AFC Liverpool never gave up and scored a consolation goal in the second half. However, despite the goal The Saints held on to the victory.


Iwan Webster was very solid at centre back and goalkeeper Joe Kinsella, made a number of important saves to ensure that his side took the victory.


Jason Aldcroft’s men have another home game against Arrowe Park at Park Hall Stadium next Wednesday.
