The ‘Football Special’ programme and memorabilia fair held at the former Cambrian railway station in Oswald Road, Oswestry attracted a good crowd. The New Saints Football Club, AFC Telford, Shrewsbury Town, Ellesmere Rangers and FA Trophy holders Wrexham, were all present at the event.
The event was organised by David Owen and just before noon the infamous Red Arrows flew past.
There was also money being raised for Hope House Children’s Hospice.
Spot the Dog, Lenny the Lion and Wrex the Dragon also took part on a special train journey.
