Steve Benyon guided his TNS Under 16 side to a dominant 7-0 victory against Vauxhall Motors yesterday, thanks to goals Callum Graybrook, Joe Walsh, Ryan Tyrer, Tom Birch and a magnificent hat-trick from Lewis Evans.
The game started off at a very high tempo and TNS created a number of excellent opportunities. The Saints fast passing moves caused lots of problems for the visitors. The TNS Under 16’s were clinical in front of goal and Lewis Evans managed to score a superb hat-trick. There was also a debut goal for Joe Walsh.
Steve Benyon was delighted with his team and said after the match that, ‘The game was a very good workout for the boys. There were excellent performances right through the team and their are solid partnerships starting to form.’
Benyon went on to add that, ‘The Boys were much better in front of goal due to the training drills that we had worked on.’
Next up for the TNS Under 16’s is a home fixture with Rakers FC and that is scheduled for Thursday the 4th of July.
