The ‘kidz league’ got under way yesterday and it was the Under 7’s and Under 8’s that took centre stage with a number of teams competing at both age groups.
Each game lasted 15 minutes and the games alternated between the Under 7’s and Under 8’s which ensured that all of the players participating had valuable recovery time.

The Community Foundation Officer, Craig Edwards, was delighted with the first day and said, ‘It was great to see players turn up and showcase their talents in small sided games with no pressure, the standard was high and all players enjoyed the experience’.
They are all set to return on Thursday 1st August to finalise their teams standings.
All of the players that take part in any of the ‘Kidz League’ sessions will be rewarded by getting discount on a series of special trips that the Football Club have planned. Two of the exciting trips that have been planned are stadium tours that will include both Manchester United’s Old Trafford Stadium as well as Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium. The trips to the Premier League Giants have been planned for Tuesday the 20th of August & Thursday the 22nd of August.
