The New Saints beat Buckley Town by seven goals to two, at Park Hall stadium.
The match was the last friendly before the opening Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League game on August the 24th.
Matty Williams opened the scoring after only 17 minutes. The former Manchester United man superbly headed in a great cross from Chris Jones.
Aeron Edwards nearly doubled the lead after half an hour, but his deft lob landed inches over the bar.
Minutes later and it was two. Ryan Kershaw did brilliantly to drill the ball across the box and after Matt Burch had denied Williams, the ball kindly rebounded into the path of Mike Wilde who made no mistake to convert into the empty net.
The Saints started off the second half well and quickly added a third. Williams smashed in from 10 yards out after Jones had picked him out at the back post. The former Swansea winger whipped in a great cross and the TNS number 10 made no mistake, as he completed his brace with total ease.
The visitors pulled a goal back through Jamil Adam after he managed to pick the ball up in the box and found space to strike past Chris Mullock in the TNS goal.
With 25 minutes left Kai Edwards added a fourth. Kershaw did wonderfully well to find the former Neath defender, who coolly converted as the Buckley ‘keeper desperately attempted to parry.
Jordan Wells added a fifth with ten minutes left. The substitute headed in from a corner despite the Buckley defenders frantically trying to clear it.
A minute later it was six. Jones smashed into the empty net after collecting a pass from the energetic Aeron Edwards, who had done really well to round the goalkeeper.
In the last minute of the game, Kai Edwards scored the goal of the match. The former Wrexham man struck an unstoppable shot into the top corner from the edge of the box, to complete another rout for The Saints.
Buckley Town scored with the last kick of the game as the match finished 7-2 to The New Saints.
