The Walford and North Shropshire Scholarship teams were in action this week and there were some mixed results.
The Elite One squad lost out to Birmingham Met by three goals to nil. The Elite Two squad managed to draw three all with New College Telford and the Walford & North Shropshire College Development team beat Wolverhampton College by two goals to one.
The Elite One squad travelled away to Birmingham and were two nil down after two minutes. Despite the lads battling on gamely, the home side controlled the game and added a third late on to seal the victory.

The Elite Two squad started really well against New College Telford and raced into a three goal lead. The team that were managed by Matty Williams and Alex Darlington, played some really attractive football but just before half time, the visitors pulled two goals back. The second half started similar to the first with lots of chances being created, however, it was the team from Telford who added the final goal of the game to grab a well deserved draw.

The Walford and North Shropshire College Development beat Wolverhampton College thanks to goals from Garry Evans and Jake Mantell.
With three minutes gone, Evans sltted in the opening goal after being played in by the man of the match, Andy Garmston. Soon after it was two nil after Garmston picked up the ball in his own half and ran powerfully towards goal, before being brought down unfairly. From the resulting free kick, Mantell found space and drove the ball through a crowded area to give his team a two goal lead at half time.
With only 15 minutes left, the team from the Black Country pulled a goal back but the goal was no more than a consolation, as the Development squad defended well and held on to the win.
The winning squad consisted of Kieron Lee-Birch, Jesse Byron, Sam Jones, Lewis Haywood, Connor Tinsley, Kieron Beever, Josh Tomley, Andrew Garmston, Jake Edwards, Jake Mantell, Garry Evans, Josh Graves and Michael Rogers.
