TNS youngster called up to face England

Nyasha Mwamuka has been called up to the Welsh Under 16’s squad for the Sky Victory Shield games that will take place in OctoberFootball Association of Wales Staff Headshots and November.

Mwamuka currently plays for the TNS Under 16’s and has a very bright future ahead of him.

The four home nations will compete in the tournament and the first fixture for Wales will be an away game against England, which is scheduled to be played on October the 4th. Following that game, The Young Dragons will take on Scotland on October the 21st in Aberystwyth, before facing Northern Ireland in Bangor. The fixture against the Irish will be played on the 21st of November.

Nyasha recently played for Wales during their six nil defeat against a fantastic French Under 16’s team.

Nyasha said after the game that, ‘Despite the result, the match was something to remember. We played well in the first half but unfortunately the French were too strong in the second half.’

The youngster is eager to forget the result and focus on the upcoming match against England, ‘We now need to forget about the game against the French and forget the score. We need to prepare ourselves for the Victory Shield and concentrate on playing England in October.’
